Killarney Hills Master Planning Process
On December 21, 2017, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly voted unanimously to approve Resolution No. FY2018-18 to direct the Community Development Department to initiate a master planning effort for the Borough-owned Killarney Hills Tract R-2 property. This property is currently the site of City-maintained football and baseball fields at the W. Rezanof Drive/Woody Way Loop intersection, also referred to as “KANA field” or “Woody Way Field”.
Throughout the project, the Community Development Department will collect and analyze a wide range of data and public feedback in order to guide the development of several possible development scenarios for this Borough-owned parcel. Through a collaborative public process, one or more scenarios will be selected, and these will then shape the implementation plan. Once the Master Plan has been approved by the Borough Assembly, it will guide development on this parcel for the foreseeable future.
