Overview

The Kodiak Island Borough has contracted with Alaska Waste for garbage collection services along the Kodiak road system.

Residential Service

Borough Code requires that each residence subscribe to garbage collection service.

Curbside Pick-Up

Curbside pick-up or roll cart service is provided to all residents within the City of Kodiak boundaries and as well as to some neighborhoods outside the city limits to the northeast.

Dumpsters

Dumpsters are provided for those residents outside of the roll cart service area. Private dumpster rental is also available to residential customers for clean-up projects and other needs.

Commercial Service

Businesses can subscribe to to curbside pickup within the rollcart service area; otherwise businesses can arrange for private dumpster rental and collection service.
